Loving God Through Our Lives
Everything that was used in the temple for the Worship of God was consecrated. How much more should we be wholly consecrated unto God, seeing we are the temple in which His Holy Spirit dwells? (1 Cor. 3:16). Ezekiel chapter 8 is a sobering chapter to read especially when you think of it in terms of us being the temple. I ask myself sometimes, "What would be found in the inner chamber of my heart, were there to be a hole to peer into?" would the Lord find things that to Him were offensive? Or that He considered an abomination? We all should keep in mind Proverbs 15:3 "The eyes of the LORD are in every place, beholding the evil and the good." So what does all this have to do with loving God with our lives? As Believers, in all aspects of our lives we are to represent Christ Jesus,(Romans 12:1) "I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service." I like that it is by God's mercies that we present our bodies. His mercies are so great towards us which should cause us to love Him with all that is within us, and presenting our bodies is not an unreasonable request for God to ask. In loving God Thru our lives we show long-suffering, we are kind, not envious, we don't act puffed up, or unseemly. 1 Cor. 13 There is so much more to learn about loving God thru our lives but thru His mercy we can press onward. LOVE It is a choice well worth the effort!
